What's on in October?

11 October 2015

October’s here, and you know what that means– it’s festival month in Notts...

GameCity Festival 2015

There’ll be loads going on this month in and around the city, and we’ll be there adding some footballing flavour to a few of the events. Keep your eyes peeled when you’re out and about– and if you spot us, come over, say hi, and maybe try a keepy-uppy or two.

We’re not the only ones getting into the footie spirit– over at GameCity they’ve been developing their own tribute to the beautiful game.

If you’re heading to the festival later this month (it starts on the 22 October and runs until the end of the month), make sure you check out the Football Gamechangers, where we’ve commissioned ten designers to work on totally new footie games in honour of Nottingham’s City of Football status. You’ll be able to try their creations out for yourself (and even take them away with you) every day of the festival from 11am.

There will also be a big announcement from us– we’ll be revealing the winners of our Vlogger contest. Don’t miss it!

As well as the events we’ll be attending, we’re running our usual series of activities. We’ve got sessions for girl players, or for mixed groups, in various locations across the city. Come down and have a kickabout with the brilliant Football in the Community coaches– build your skills or just have a laugh with your mates.

We know it’s not only the youth who want to get out on the pitch– and this month you’ll also find sessions for over-55s running on a few sites across Notts. It’s football as you know it– just easier on the knees!

Our goal is to get all of Notts excited about football, so that everyone can find their connection to the game. You don’t need to have any footballing experience to attend our sessions– it’s all about having a go!

Get started and find yours -  check out all of our coaching sessions running in October (and beyond).
