Reclaim the Pitch

2 February 2016

Nottingham women are taking matters into their own hands, and reclaiming what’s theirs…

Listen up, ladies.

We think the boys have had control of the pitch for far too long, and it’s about time we made a stand, and reclaimed the pitch.

On Tuesday 16 February, City of Football are organising a proper girl’s night out, to launch the brand new Girls Only Football nights.

Forest Sports Zone on Forest Rec will be taken over by women from all over Notts, with football activities, comedians, live music, and the fastest growing female five aside league, Female Football Fives.

Mrs Green and her Rizlas will be there to sing you a few songs from her Motown heyday, along with a few naughty jokes, no doubt. And Tash Bird, one of Notts leading ladies when it comes to acoustic folk music, will be serenading you as you smash through the LED football assault course in record time.

Not only that, but the girls from NextDoorDance will be performing extracts from their recent Playhouse production, The Beautiful Game, and England defender, Laura Bassett will be ready to inspire the next generation of women footballers.

It’s set to be a cracking night. Go on, gals.
