Sports presenter Gary Newbon to host football legends

Former ITV and Sky Sports presenter Gary Newbon will host the induction of Nottingham's football stars into the national Football Hall of Fame on Thursday 3 November at the Motorpoint Arena..

The gala event will see Nottingham boxing champion Carl Froch present the award to his heroes, the Nottingham Forest European Cup winners, while Notts County, the world's oldest professional club, will also be inducted.

John Robertson, who is receiving a personal induction, Archie Gemmill, John McGovern, Trevor Francis, Garry Birtles, Ian Bowyer, Colin Barrett, Bryn Gunn, David Needham, John O'Hare, Gary Mills, Martin O'Neill and Frank Clark will be representing Forest while Les Bradd, Tommy Johnson, Mark Draper, Gerry Carver, Brian Stubbs, Steve Cherry, Ian Richardson and John Thompson will be there from County.

In the presence of members of the Clough, Taylor and Sirrel families, the stars from past and present will take their rightful place among the world’s football elite, share their favourite moments from Nottingham’s rich footballing history in live interviews and archive footage and look forward to the future of football in the city.  The evening will also feature Cloughie's words of wisdom, live music and dancers, and special City of Football performances.
