What’s Happening In October

1 October 2016

Get involved in some of the footy action going on this month…

We have an exciting month lined up at City of Football during festival season in Nottingham and we want you to get stuck in as well.

Professional football freestyler Liv Cooke is set to make an appearance at Hockley Hustle on Sunday 9th October in the Creative Quarter with a typically polished performance.

There will be over 300 acts at 25 different venues competing for space and crowds but if you haven’t seen what Liv is capable of yet then take a look at her skills.

After the fantastic success of England’s Lionesses at Meadow Lane last month, we have another offering as they travel to Doncaster for an International Friendly vs France on 21st October.

The Lionesses have already qualified for the European Championships next summer in Holland and this fixture will be a challenging warm-up match against one of the world’s best to prepare for the tournament.

You can win a family ticket for four people by entering our competition on Facebook.

Elsewhere, Play Football Nottingham has teamed up with Notts County Football in the Community to host a Corporate 6-a-side tournament on Friday 7th of October, which you can still enter by emailing nk@nottscountyfitc.org.uk.

The event is taking place at Arnold Hill Academy on Gedling Road and to enter a team it costs £250 for a squad of ten players. The minimum age for participants is 18 years old.

Aside from that, our regulars continue throughout the month, with Female Football Fives every Monday night, Reclaim the Pitch every Tuesday night, and Rusty Returners every Wednesday night.

So don’t miss out this October – join in the football fun.
