Winter Kit and Tips

Preparing your football accessories for the colder months…

We all know that football has a bad reputation in comparison with some of the more brutal sports. But there’s no shame in staying warm during the winter months.

You never know if you’ll be sitting on the sidelines or if there’ll be a blizzard on the pitch so it’s always important to be prepared for that eventuality with some stylish kit.

The number one go-to option for professional footballers not used to the chilly weather has to be fitted black gloves.

Gone are the days when the goalkeeper was the only one on the field wearing gloves, you now see the Premier League full of Spanish and South American players sporting the hand warmers.

But there’s also the option to get your hands on more than just the regular bland colour, check out these wacky designs.

If you’re looking for the less obvious alternative to keeping warm during a winter game, there are endless forms of ‘under armour’.

For those who haven’t encountered this term before it’s basically a thin, stretchy lining that fits tightly to your body. There are tons of styles and possibilities ranging from tops and vests to underwear and trousers, that all fit beneath your football kit.

Football supporters, of course, also need protection from the cold over the next few months and for those of you looking to add a bit of personalisation to your hat and scarf combo, check out this site.

You can now design both the style and what you want to appear on your winter kit – so you don't have to go for the standard striped woollen colours. You can create your own and help support your local amateur club.

Don’t be a boring snowman out on the field – get prepared for winter football!
