Multi-Sport Mash Up

25 August 2016

Notts County and England Goalkeeper, Carly Telford, will be overseeing some of the best female athletes in Nottingham go head-to-head…

Some miraculous folk among us are naturally gifted at everything they try. They can turn their hand to tennis, football or cricket, and knock us all out of the park with their skills in each and every one. These are the kind of people that have the potential to be the future stars of sport.

But it’s not often that these wonder kids get the chance to show off their multi-talented skills. This got us thinking at City of Football, “What if we were to combine football with other sports and find the ultimate young sportswoman?”

So we took football, rugby and netball and we created a tournament to discover who has the most stamina and cross-sports skills to be crowned the definitive champions of all three.

Our idea is for all of the teams entered to play each other at all three sports, instead of just one. This will then decide the best collective at all three disciplines, similar to the triathlon at the Olympics.

Not only will teams have the chance to experience this unique format for the first time, you’ll also be able to meet Notts County and England goalkeeper, Carly Telford, who will be making a special guest appearance at the tournament to meet the talented competitors.

The action kicks-off on Tuesday 6 September at the Forest Sports Zone from 6-8pm. Teams will consist of five females aged 16+ but we are welcoming individuals to turn up to join an existing team if possible.

Don’t miss out on this brand new competition to prove you are the ultimate sportswoman. To enter a team, please email: amy@city-of-football.uk by Tuesday 30 August at the latest.
